Just catching up here after a (purely unintentional) hiatus from your blog. Love this post, and am thrilled to know we oughta steer clear of Marin RV park. Given the name and location, one assumes they’re at the Caddy of RV parks… yeahnotsomuch, it sounds like.

Hi! Im glad its not just us who held their breath a little through SF! The streets are narrower than other cities, right? I didn’t make that up did I? I’d love to hear more about your trip! You’re not headed up to Seattle are you? If so, this park we’re at is great!

Hey, we started full-timing in a 27′ International in last July, and are pretty much making the reverse trek you are. We’re from the Bay Area, and stayed in Marin Park for a week for part of the time we were packing up the house and getting ready to hit the road. I know exactly what you mean. It was the worst place we stayed — I can’t put my finger on it, but we cut our stay short there — I was literally miserable there. I think the environment can also color your perception about the people in it. But I’m glad you got the opportunity to break past that. Everyone I met there was very nice — just the place itself was less than desirable. If you’re ever back in the Bay Area, try Olema Campground (near Point Reyes). A bit of a drive, and pricier, but worth it. (Spotty AT&T reception, but Verizon is fine). Also, great choice in Sol Food! Probably the best place you could have eaten in East Marin!
