Just so you know - this beautiful shot of the interior of the CCD is now my computer desktop background. I am a tea farmer in Hawaii and my dream is to buy a larger piece of land and live in an airstream while I build my house and start farming the land. I am partial to the original CCD Airstreams - some of the more recent internationals seem a little too dark and urban for my taste. I love the light and clean look of yours. Thanks for sharing. I'll be the first to admit that we were a little nervous about applying anything permanent to the Weasel's exterior as well. Chalk it up to our overactive imaginations, but Tiff and I really got a kick out of the whole process. Our first rally was a hoot, and we're planning to hit many more next year (we're definitely planning on Gillette, if we can get the time off!). So when it came time to place the Red Numbers, it was almost ceremonious. For a few minutes, we felt like those crazy caravaners from the 50s and 60s who toted their belongings all across the world behind Mr. Byam's lead. We hope to do a lot more traveling in the years to come and for us, its just kinda cool to be part of the history behind those numbers. It was a lot of fun, I highly recommend it-- I think we learned more about Airstreams in one day than we have in our 8 months of research. If you join, you can attend any rallies around the country, you dont have to be a member of a specific chapter either, which I didnt know (you can be an At-Large member). And you can get the cool red number to put on your Airstream so people know who you are down the highway. :) If you want any more info, please let me know.
