Recently we met up with Kevin and Laura for a long weekend at the Timberlake Campground and RV Park along the Columbia River Gorge –and it was great (That’s us and them, plus another couple who pulled in Friday with a new Bambi). As some of you may know, I’m working a few days a week at the RV park office where we stay, and I think I have a better appreciation for what it takes to get people in and out (and taken care of ) during their stay — I mean, it’s a bit harder than it looks.
LeRoy, the owner of the park, really does an amazing job — from little dog packs for your pooch to special events (ours was Beer Tasting)
– we wanted to stay longer. It doesn’t hurt that the park is in a beautiful hillside location a few miles from the river, Beacon Rock,
and my favorite, the Carson Hot Springs. Don’t just take my word for it, read about Laura and Kevin’s experience as well: http://www.riveted-blog.com/2013/06/sunday-in-the-columbia-gorge.html.
